Do You Feel Stuck With Your Home Business Website

I already know the observation and experience I am going to discuss here is something a lot of home business entrepreneurs will instantly relate to. I am confident because I have gone through it and know there can be a way out. 

And I am talking about a real way out. Not shifting perspective, but about an action plan

It has happened to me and am assuming must have happened to a lot of people who decided to give home business a try. I am specifically going to discuss about people with home business website. Majority of us have bumped into home business by accident. 

All the motivation, being introduced to the home business, promises, mentoring, counseling etc happening online over chats and email exchanges. And after being convinced and end result in mind your own home business is all set to take off. 

You were excited about your baby - home business. You were also informed and prepared to work hard and focus to succeed online. You also experienced success at close quarters but it slipped through in a while. Receiving real checks now and then filled you up with confidence. You at least knew it wasn't fake! More than the amount the physical check did the trick for you. 

And by then you were also better informed and knew that had you done this thing that way, things would have been better. Which you are now following so once you re-gain momentum, you will be able to make a living online. It may take time but someday you will make it. 

You are working smart and hard, have learnt to use your mind to think, analyze, implement, you have learnt the virtue of completing a job patiently. You have your favorite online tutorials to resolve your day to day issue... but you have a feeling you are slowing down. 

Things not moving in spite doing what's desired is catching up on you. You are losing enthusiasm. Dullness is slowing making it's way. There seems nothing from where you can draw energy and attitude.....

If its happening to you I have a solution:

If it's a website that you've built which is not doing as well as you expected it to, just give everything about it a second look. Forget the regular internal and external linking and publishing press-releases or articles from time to time, or optimizing for the right key phrase.  Is the subject something you are really interested in? How many of us who are promoting affiliate programs on our websites were really passionate about the subject before deciding on the theme of home based business? 

How many of us even understood it as clearly as we understand it today? It was something new for us and we learnt everything about it online. Remember? And all the learning has paid off so much so that we have a clear understanding of the subject now. To the extent that we are able to churn out article after article on the subject that was alien to us once.

What I am trying to say is if this is the case with you, its not too late. Change the subject of your web site. Strike the right balance between something you are interested in, have an understanding of and you will be able to do justice to it from search engine's point of view. 

Suppose your present website is about affiliate programs or work at home ideas. But you are always discussing, advising friends about insurance, why don't you start a website about insurance. This is one subject you have natural interest in. You know what people are looking for. You can develop a good insight. By now you know about developing a niche so narrow it down further and fix your niche. 

Check out its relevancy in wordtracker and overture bid tool and START AFRESH. Read about people who are successful online. They must not have got success instantly. I am sure they must have experimented and made mistakes too. So just explore. But do it responsibly. Take informed decision. With your maturity and experience plus online exposure at hand, you can  start on a different plane altogether.

Whatever and no matter how many times people say do what you are passionate about, I personally will want to see it through my business glasses also. After all I want to make money with the home business!  I am certainly not of the view that you should start a website about Acquiring Loan For Students, just because its a high paying keyword.  

If you are not interested in the subject you will lose confidence and interest after a month. Even if you stretch it further, your dis-interest will reflect in your writing. Your visitors will not be able to relate to it.

Its possible. Are people always starting business offline or in our regular day to day life based on their passion? No. It could certainly be one of the components. That too not always. 

They are always identifying market needs and then full-filling that need. They are visualizing and starting a business. Can't we do the same? May be the two cannot be compared. But we can still accommodate this thought and work our way up. I am sure we can. I have. So can you.
